Standard Backbone shoots already include blurring of faces and licence plates. Extended Blur adds: house numbers and street names, personal objects (e.g. fridge clutter), billboards and real estate signs, personal names (e.g. doorbell nameplates), and neighbouring houses. Two versions of each image are delivered: one with no blur, one with full extended blur.
No. Extended Blur is processed in parallel to standard editing and does not affect the standard delivery timeline. Both blurred and non-blurred versions are made available for download in your Backbone gallery.
Extended Blur is essential for GDPR compliance when the property’s neighbourhood, street, neighbours’ houses, or personal objects might be identifiable. It’s commonly ordered for sensitive transactions (high-profile sellers, occupied properties, prestige listings), and increasingly required by some real estate portals for portal-side listings.
