When should I order Matterport Photo Extraction?

Order Photo Extraction as an add-on when you book a Virtual Visit with Backbone and also want gallery-ready still images for portal listings, brochures, or social. It pulls the photos from the same capture your virtual tour is built on, so you get both deliverables from a single shoot, without booking a separate photo session.

What quality can I expect from extracted photos?

Extracted images come from the same capture data as your Virtual Visit, so the quality follows the tour tier you ordered via Backbone. An HD Tour, captured with a Matterport Pro camera, gives you the highest-resolution extracted photos. A Standard Definition Tour, captured with a Matterport-compatible 360° camera, delivers lower-resolution photos at a more accessible price point. Either is suitable for portal listings, agency websites, and social. For ultra-high-resolution brochure or print use, a dedicated Ground Photo or Prestige Photo shoot is recommended.

Can extracted photos be edited?

Yes. Extracted photos can be passed through Backbone’s editing services (Standard, Advanced, or Expert) for further retouching, decluttering, or transformation. Editing is ordered separately.

Who chooses the point of views of extracted photos?

The Backbone team selects the points of view for Matterport photo extraction for you, following internal standards for coverage and composition (room types, angles, minimum shots per area). This means immediate delivery of your photos with the virtual tour, without back-and-forth communication – with the flexibility to request additional angles afterward if needed.
