Virtual Staging

Virtual Staging transforms a property digitally, whether the rooms are empty and need furnishing or already furnished and need a full refresh. Buyers see what the space could look like, without a single chair being moved. Backbone offers three levels: 3D Staging for furniture and decoration, Advanced 3D Staging for wall colour and floor changes, and 360 Staging for an immersive 360° view of the staged space. All staging is built from a curated Backbone library of furniture, materials and room types, which clients select from during the order flow.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Virtual Staging cost?
Arrow icon

Virtual Staging pricing is per image and per level. 3D Staging adds furniture and decoration to an empty room. Advanced 3D Staging adds wall colour changes and floor modifications, and can open up walls if the client provides a floor plan. 360 Staging delivers an immersive 360° view of the staged space. All levels are built from Backbone's curated library of furniture, materials and room types. For a quote on your specific property, request one on our get-a-quote page.

How do I provide photos for virtual staging?
Arrow icon

Three paths, all running through the Backbone purchase flow so the library selections (furniture, materials, room type) are captured upfront: book a Backbone photographer to shoot the empty property, upload your own existing photos, or capture them yourself with the Backbone mobile app and submit them via the platform. Whichever path you choose, the order is placed and the staging team gets everything they need to start.

How long does a Virtual Staging take to deliver?
Arrow icon

All three staging levels are delivered from 48 hours, with one round of small amends included (lighting tweaks, minor object adjustments) and a 2-week feedback window. Changes to the staging style (different furniture, different room layout, different materials) count as a new staging and are charged separately. 360 Staging also includes 6 months of hosting.

What's the difference between 3D Staging and Advanced 3D Staging?
Arrow icon

3D Staging adds or replaces furniture and decoration, working from your existing photo. Use it to furnish an empty room or refresh a furnished one with new pieces and styling. Advanced 3D Staging goes further with wall colour changes and floor modifications, and can open up walls when you provide a floor plan. 360 Staging delivers an immersive 360° view of the staged space, hosted for 6 months. All three use Backbone's curated library of furniture and materials. If you need a specific piece of furniture, a custom wall material, a room type not in the library, or any element built from scratch, that falls outside staging and into Backbone's 3D Rendering service.

Is 360 Staging the same as a Virtual Tour?
Arrow icon

No. 360 Staging is a single immersive 360° view of a digitally staged room. Multiple 360 Staging images can be ordered for the same property, and when combined they create a navigable sequence across different rooms, each one digitally staged. This is different from Backbone's Virtual Visit (Matterport-based) service, which captures existing rooms as-is without digital staging."
